Spot the lie hiding between two truths
A trivia game built on the classic two truths and one lie, where the whole point is catching which statement is fake. The story
Two truths and one lie is a party game everyone already knows, and it works because a good lie is fun to unravel. The problem is it falls apart the second nobody has a clever lie ready. I wanted to hand that job to AI, so one person could get the same "wait, which one is fake?" tension on demand, without needing a room full of people.
BLUFF gives you three statements each round and asks you to spot the one that is not true. AI writes the questions across a range of topics, so it never turns into the same recycled trivia deck. Around that core loop sit a daily challenge to pull you back each day, friend invites, and a leaderboard that makes your score mean something. It is mobile-first and installs like an app, since most people play on their phones.
I owned the product end to end: the game loop, the flow from landing to first question to result, the scoring, and the daily and social hooks. I set the visual direction too, the dark navy palette and the clean card layout that keeps all the attention on the three statements. Most of the work was deciding what to leave out, so the first version stayed focused on the one moment that had to land, the flicker of doubt when you are staring at three statements and cannot tell which one is lying.
