The story
A proper UX audit means hours of manual heuristic evaluation. I wanted the evidence gathering to take seconds, right inside the browser where the work already happens, so my time goes to the judgment calls only a human can make.
HeuristiCheck scans any live page against Nielsen's 10 heuristics and WCAG AA, highlights the problem areas with an on-page navigator and heatmap, and writes the exact CSS or HTML fix for you to paste back in, all from a single click. It exports branded PDF and CSV reports for clients and Jira.
Everything runs client-side with your own API key. No backend, and nothing leaves your browser except the calls you make to your own model.
It deliberately reports signals rather than verdicts. Heuristic evaluation is an expert-judgment method. A tool can find the evidence, but the evaluation is still yours. Building it that way was the real design decision.
